83(2021):
It is one of the most riveting Ranveer Singh movies for which he won the Filmfare award. He plays Kapil Dev, the leading Indian captain who ensured the victory of India in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. His performance included the accent and performance of the famous Indian captain. It showcased the highs and lows of the 1983 World Cup, as the Indian team, considered an underdog, ultimately emerged as world champions. This World Cup win was secured by Kapil Dev himself, as the Indian team scored a meagre 183 in the first innings. Even at this low score, by putting the right players for bowling in the second innings, India won the final match against the West Indies by holding their team to 140 runs. Kapil Dev helped qualify his team for the World Cup because he scored 175 in a match against Zimbabwe.
Padmavat(2018):
In Padmavat, Ranveer Singh played the villain Aladduin Khilji, who hears about the beauty of Queen Padmavati of Chittor and becomes obsessed with it. The performance of Ranveer Singh Bhavnani in this movie was memorable. He goes to great lengths to get a glimpse of Queen Padmavati but is unable to do so. Bhavnani even won the Best Filmfare Critics Award for this role.

Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela(2013):
Before Padmavat, he was cast in the movie. Ram Leela, which was based on the Shakespearean tragedy Romeo and Juliet. The film garnered a huge total at the box office, as the audience loved the pair of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. This was their first movie together. The couple played the love-struck Ram and Leela, who are from opposing smuggling clans in Gujarat, Rajadi and Sanera. Ram is from the Rajadi tribe, and Leela from Sanera. Ram gets into Sanera’s house during Holi, where Meghji Bhai, Leela’s elder brother, notices him, but Ram escapes in time. However, in an accident, Meghji Bhai(Abhimanyu Singh) kills Kanji Bhai(Sharad Kelkar), Ram’s elder brother. Kanji Bhai actually incites Meghji Bhai to shoot rounds at him, but the revolver considers a single bullet. Enraged. Ram kills Meghji Bhai.
In the end, both Ram and Leela commit suicide because they think nobody will let them live together. But Leela’s mother, Dhankor Baa(Supriya Pathak Kapur), has already approved of their relationship.
Gully Boy(2019):
One of Ranveer Singh movies, which also deserves a mention. In this movie, Ranveer Singh played a slum boy, Murad, who aspires to be a rapper. Alongside him, Alia Bhatt also plays a role as Safeena, the girlfriend of Ranveer’s character. This movie also won a Filmfare award for the best actor for Ranveer Singh. Incidentally, Ranveer Singh also likes to rap in real life and is pretty skilled at his craft.
