The Clean Slate
First on the list is Clean Slate, which is about a transgender woman named Desiree (Laverne Cox)who decides to live with his family after his startup venture of an art gallery does not work out. His father is initially shocked to learn about his state. But she helps bond with her father when she decides to do the repairs of the house, when it’s in a shabby state. It is one of the most female-centric shows where a father does not show any hiccup in accepting his son as he is. The father does not know that her son has transitioned into a woman through a surgery a long time back. So, when she returns after 23 years to meet him, he has trouble recognising her.
Do you wanna Partner?
It stars Tamannah Bhatia and Diana Penty, who want to venture into the craft beer business. They face resistance from their respective families. They name their company Jugaro, which means to make things work through a shortcut.
The Girlfriend
This is more like a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law drama, quite popular in India.
In this one of the most riveting female-centric shows on Prime Video, the mother-in-law, Laura, has suspicions about why his son’s girlfriend, Cherry, is interested in him.
Laura is a rich owner of an art gallery, and she can’t accept the middle-class Cherry. First, Laura believes that Cherry wants to use her son to become a socialite. Laura even lies to Cherry about the death of her son in a mountain climbing incident. Cherry and Daniel were on this trip together, and Daniel slipped from the mountain. When Cherry discovers that Daniel is still alive in a restaurant, she lashes out at Laura. In the season’s final episode, Laura dies because she drowned in the house’s swimming pool while her son is busy saving Cherry from drowning. Still, Daniel marries Cherry. It is one of the most watchable female-centric shows on Prime Video.
Khauf
Khauf is a horror series that has a lot of blood-curdling moments. There is a small-town girl Madhu (Monika Panwar), who comes to the city to fulfil her dreams. She comes to Delhi and takes a room on rent. The residents of the hostel warn her about the room no. 333. They tell her to leave the hostel immediately. She also observes that the residents of the hostel don’t leave it at any time. Eventually, she calls a shaman for her help. She has been assaulted in her hometown Gwalior, due to which she has come to Delhi to live a peaceful life. This is one of the best, horrifying female-centric shows on Prime Video
